Title: non adjustable rocker clearance
Post by: BigBlueIron on July 27, 2021, 03:22:07 PM
Refurbishing some factory non adjustable rocker arms using oversized shafts. What clearance should I shoot for .003?

Waaaay too much, in my opinion. They'd be sloppy loose and bleeding oil like a headless chicken. I'd try to shoot for .001, or slightly under.

Yep.  I like to see around .001-.0012" with modern spring pressures.

I got these from Blair but I know they are available from a few other places. Pretty sure POP has them too but you have to call and ask for them. They are are also heavy wall.
