Wiped a new mechanical flat tappet Comp cam in 15 minutes on a 429 , 294S magnum feeling a little aggrevated , second Comp flat tappet wipe out in two weeks , two different vehicles as one was a SBC , one a customer the other a employee . switching both to roller
What brand roller cam and roller lifters do you recommend for street ? not sure if I want anything from Comp ?

What were the spring pressures, Eric?
I use 100% Comp stuff these days. Don't have any issues.

I believe 120 closed , on the SBC he took out a perfectly good running 4-7 swap cam for a drag race grind simular spec but on a 106 instead of a 110 . Do you trust Comp hydraulic rollers ?

The open pressure is what can kill a cam. I also don't like breaking them in with over 100 lbs seat. 100/280 seems to work well for me.
I don't prefer the Comp lifters, I use Morel, but no one grinds my cams except for Comp.....and I sell a lot of cams.....

The hyd roller for my 545 (460) was custom ordered by Brent. He got me something I couldn't get anywhere. I'm using Morel's too.
