1967 fairlane valve cover recommendation
« on: August 15, 2023, 03:44:53 PM »
i am looking for recommendations for a quality valve cover that will fit a 67 fairlane with a strange master cylinder.  .700 lift cam erson rockers. i would like them to be baffled as i run a vac u pan type set up.  i know it is asking alot but would prefer both breather holes up front. i am used to mustangs and the fairlane is a little tighter.  thanks  ron

Change the MC. Use a late 80's Ranger small bore MC and you can fit any cover.

Jay made some beautiful covers for me. Oil fill/breather openings at the locations I wanted.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to get valve cover castings at any reasonable price for a few years now.  The foundry that was doing them for me was purchased, and then shut down, by a bigger outfit.  Other foundries I have looked at can't use the existing tooling, and if I went to the expense of changing the tooling the price per casting is more than double what I paid before.  I am still looking to get back into making the valve covers, but am not sure if or when I will be able to do it...
