Out of two I've seen so far this is the thickest. Not the super thick cores I have heard about. I am in the process of making a pressure test kit for FE and MEL engines. Going to spray UV dye in the saddles, cam tunnel and lifter valley. Any known crack prone areas in these MEL engines I should look?
Next up is my 59 575XXXX casting block. Like this 60 it will take some work to get the pistons out. Maybe this spring I will pick up a complete 59 Conental. Depending on production date it may have a 575XXXX block casting as well. More to come.....

Chris that is kind of disappointing.. I had a 58 383 block that was better than that after a .050 bore job

I have a complete 63 4 barrel 430 I will squeeze in a sonic test sometime. C3VE casting. Was your 383 a 575XXXX block casting?
-
Chris.. Have you tore down that 63 yet? I would like to get a picture of the heads. Do they have a small chamber?
-
Pictured is a C3VE-B head. 2 5/8" X 1 5/16" intake ports. I have not cc'd the heads yet but there is a chamber. The chambers were 63-65. I have not seen the 61-62 heads yet.

58-60 and 66-68 were flat with no chamber. 61-62?
These are 59 heads.
