A few considerations, a lot will depend on the type of slick construction and sidewall. In general a bias ply grows a lot more than many of the newer radial slicks. Then tire size, wheel size, Tire pressure, etc. all play into it. I’ve had some 29 x 9 bias ply slicks grow 3/4” on my car, and that was at about 112 mph back then. Those would touch at the front of the wheel well like that and then they leave a rub mark, so like Jameson said, be sure you don’t have any sharp edges there.
