Power by Ford Chrome Valve Cover baffles
« on: April 21, 2014, 07:10:14 PM »
Hit my roller rocker shafts.  Any issues with removing the baffles? I think they should clear if I take the baffles out but want to make sure I'm not screwing something up by doing so.

Have you tried using 2 gaskets to see if that will give you enough clearance?
Might be worth a try.

No, its not even close.  The covers can't even be bolted down to check rocker clearance.  Another gasket won't help and I doubt a spacer would either.

You can cut the baff's out, the only issue will be if you have a lot
of oil in the cover it may and most likely spit some out the hole.
If you are running a late model style PCV system it may suck oil up also.
Depending on the rocker system the small PBF covers may not clear even with the baff's  cut up.
