anyone know bellhousings????

i know right??!!  Is there a chance this bellhousing was aftermarket? I dont know how my dad would've wound up with a T-bolt bellhousing. On the transmission tag there is also a "1" after the RUG S ... with a space like this ... RUG   S    1    Does that 1 mean anything?

I don't know what the "1" on the trans tag means, but look for a serial number stamped either on the top of the drivers side flange or on Shelby's on the bottom of the transmission.

Some more aluminum bellhousings were sold by RC after Ford bought a whole bunch for the Thunderbolt and Lightweight Galaxie.   There have been several reproductions of the RC bellhousings over the years.
