Got my 1985 Mustang LX with 427W on a chassis dyno last week....

Was at the local Pep Boys car show and they had a chassis dyno setup. They had two special awards...one for Highest NA Horsepower and one for highest Boosted Horsepower.
I put my little beast on it to see what the power was with the dual Holley intake and 650 carbs since the runner and port size is smaller than my original Eddy Super Victor intake. Engine has 8.5 years of weekend use on it now!

Was surprised to see 478.9 HP at the wheels,I call it 480, and that nice big flat torque curve 505 ft. lbs.

Won the NA Horsepower award too!

So from info I have found on chassis to flywheel HP...maybe 540-550 at the flywheel?

Any way it was a great time to get out to a show without any rain threat!

Who makes that intake? Kinda cool, would have loved one when I had 351 Windsors in my cars.
