Title: Thought i was cool
Post by: Heo on December 28, 2019, 03:42:31 PM
Still driving the Galaxie in the middle of the snow. Waiting for the painter to paint
a couple of doors and a fender on the dd. Thought i was kind of "cool", today when
i was brushing snow from the windshield, i heard a hi perf V8 coming down
the road, lights high up and close together. Must be a Willy's Jeep i thought.....
NOOOOOPE it was a Frigging Model A roadster hotrod :o. I realiced.... I'm really not that cool :-[
;D ;D ;D I heard that same car a couple of days ago looked out the window and saw just
the tail lights going over a hill thought to my self, strange ??? just two small tiny taillights
and a V8. Could not imagine someone driving a Hotrod in the snow. Must find out who it is,
seams to have some connections to my village since he is driving here repeatedly

You know Heo you are still a cool Dude !

x2

We've been having a warm spell the last week. I've been getting the bug to get the bikes or cars out, but there's still salt on the road and I just can't bring myself to do it.

They just salt the main highway that pass outside my village. So i use the unsalted
backroads. They started to use salt in the 90s ,before that there was a lot of 60-70s cars
still in traffic as daily drivers.
But that first winter they used every excuse to salt, the rust exploded on them old cars
and they disappeared over a few years
My dd is an -88 i think, bought it inland where they don't use salt. It was completely rustfree
when i bought it 10 years ago and i have avoided to use salted roads but sometimes i have to
So now it had started to rust in  stonechips on the driver side. Fixed that, just waiting for
the painter to paint it.... He is just a couple of months behind schedule as usually ::)
