I got double- hooked in 1967. Ed Lowther let me sit in his 427 Cobra, running, at the Glen 500 at Watkins Glen. And I went for a ride in a '64 R-code Galaxie 500

Damn Gene thats just hard to top!

Ford Rangers, in the late 80s early 90s (If I recall correctly) had a nightmare clutch bleeding situation. The line from the master to the slave was full of crazy bends and literally wouldn't bleed on the truck. I don't think that is applicable to your year but maybe I'm remembering the years incorrectly. There should be plenty of info online about solutions if it is your issue.

Definitely have to keep the passion alive with the younger crowd.  My son is 8 months old (we had him a bit later in life than most, no regrets) and he absolutely loves loud noises.  If I fire up the Mach 1, or the straight-piped Coyote truck, tractor, chain saw, etc, he goes wild with excitement.  He also goes nuts if I flip on one of the guitar amplifiers, so I'm not allowed to do that if it's too close to his naps or bedtime.

My stepson had a boy 1.5 years ago. Wife was  there this weeked doing the mandatory granny work
First word he learned was Tractor and goes wild when he sees a tractor outside

My sister got a grandkid about two yesrs ago, This christmas he got a toy chainsaw with sound
The next day he was bussy cutting Down the Christmas three.  And he have never seen someon using
a chainsaw.
His first word was also tractor and goes wild when he sees a tractor. They where out walking when there
was an abandened old tractor.  they put him up in the seat and emedeatly he had lefthand on the wheel.
and right hand on the shifter making engine sounds ??? ??? He never saw someone driving tractor up to that point.
If there is reincarnation,,,,That kid is my dad reincarnated

Try Jay Cushman on FB, he trades in a lot of surplus or used NASCAR stuff. Very high quality stuff, not drag racing type but circle track and road race

FE Technical Forum / Re: Cylinder Wall Thickness Sonic Checked My 428 CJ Block
« Last post by Joe-JDC on May 20, 2024, 09:53:48 AM »
I have a 428CJ "C" scratch numbers matching engine that I just bored to +.030" over, and did a fresh sonic test that has cylinder walls capable of +.065" overbore and still have at least .125" everywhere.  The block is dated 8G23 which should be a '68.5 dated engine.  I believe that those real CJs have decent cylinder wall thicknesses remaining if the owners used antifreeze in their engines from the beginning.  Joe-JDC
