greetings- my question is basic- online they sell FE header flanges but most of them (patriot H7829 for example) do not come with the stub pieces that adapt the rectangular port shape to the primary round tubing. anyone on here ever fabricate from this point? how did you do it?

i know right??!!  Is there a chance this bellhousing was aftermarket? I dont know how my dad would've wound up with a T-bolt bellhousing. On the transmission tag there is also a "1" after the RUG S ... with a space like this ... RUG   S    1    Does that 1 mean anything?

Really.... I guarantee my father has no idea. He has just spent decades collecting Ford parts he thought he could use someday... The older he gets (73 now), the more he realizes he probably will never use this stuff.

Ok, I tried to attach a couple photos. To answer some questions, my toploader tag reads (RUG S  1) and by david kee's ID chart that lists 68 mustang 428. It is in fact the large input shaft I believe only because i have a small block toploader in my 65 falcon and the input shaft in that car has a longer snout and more splines and smaller.

hello everyone! I'm a new member and a loyal ford fan. I'm in the middle of construction on a 5 window coupe in which i have a 428 and a toploader 4 speed...I got the engine/trans from my father but he wants the bellhousing back because its the only one he has.. the one that is on it is aluminum and has the older narrow 4 bolt pattern. So i don't have a bellhousing. I see the $700 quicktime sfi approved on-line as well as various ones on ebay. It looks like there are many variables and i want to make sure i don't buy one on ebay that doesn't fit my combo. Anyone know what I'm suppposed to have? I see a C60A and a C5AA among others.. some say you need a small block toploader to adapt because of depth issues! HELP!
