New wheels, new hood, new engine, new attitude.

I was getting a bit bored with the sleeper look, but still wanted the car to look like it early '60s period correct. Also recently fitted a tailshaft safety loop and line locker in anticipation of some 1/4 mile action.

The wheels are American Racing TTO's.

Nice! Had the same box-top car (390 though) in Wimbledon White yet in black it looks much sharper.

Hey, is the passenger side rear view mirror OEM Ford? Can't ever remember seeing a '63 with said mirror although I did see other makes with the passenger side mirror as ordered.

Todd,
Lookin good, lookin real good!  I'm a fan of the vintage look as well.  Those American Torque-Thrust Ds, are they 15X8 on the rear and 15X7 on the front?  Btw I believe I've seen both of those mirrors available repro.  My 63 Gal has a factory remote adjustable mirror drivers side only but it's a different design.

Great job,
Bruce

Todd what is your tri power set up? 2-500s or 1-500 and 2-350s? How much mods to the carbs?

Both of my side mirrors are repros. We have to have side mirrors on both side to be able to license LH drive cars over here. I can see squat out of the passenger side mirror, but it keeps the law happy.

The wheels are 15x7 on front and 15x8.5 with 3.75" back space on rear. I have 255/60 tires at the back with a bit of room to spare.

The intake was massaged by Joe D Crane and the carbs bores were all opened up. I'm running 3 500 Holleys. I milled the aircleaner bases and swapped the throttle shafts from anew set of 6V carbs. I also swapped the accelerator pumps back to 30cc on all carbs.

The car looks great!! I love the factory look on the engine too. Old school always looks cool. Very nice job.

I just finished an original factory lite weight hood for my 63 waiting for the weather to put it on. I also am building a tri power setup for my 427 that's in the car. using 2- 500s and 1- 350 holley with shafts from Carls ford prts.

I tried to get the throttle shafts from Carl's, but he couldn't help me so I took them out of my 6V carb set. I was originally going to go with the 350 centre carb, I thought a 500 primary would be too much. But on my engine it works fine.

Todd, could you also tell us what tire size and wheel backspace with the 15X7s you're running on the front?  I'm looking at wheels for my '63 Gal and would appreciate the datapoint.  Assume you don't have any clearance issues front or rear.

Thanks,
Bruce
