Lets se if i get this running this summer

Someone in here wanted pictures of it a while ago, a looong while. Unfortunatly its not a CS just a S. but i will
build a CS clone. Shiny Fenders smaller seat smaller aluminum tank but i build one out of steel and i will put on a
Norton fork comon modification back in the days. A CS engine is made out of unobtaniunm so i have to live with
25-28 hp or whatewer it have. but first get it running ...And Bubba has worked on this one for sure. Metric screws
forced in to the aluminium etc. British motorcycle threads is a story by it self. Found new clutch plates and magneto parts
in Holland
BA threded cheesehead screws at a electronics and modeltrain shop :o

Non-FE Discussion Forum / Dogfight abow me
« on: September 04, 2020, 09:54:31 PM »
Saw something spectacular a few days ago. I'm putting new facade on one wall of the house
and building new porch and balcony. While i was building i heard the sound of fighter jets
nothing unusual with that, but the sound got higher and higher until it hurts in my ears
So l looked up in the sky and there was two jets right ab ow me involved in a furious dogfight dropping flares
and everything. I have seen them practising dogfight before but not that furious and so low and
and so close to each others and never dropping flares
Two times i thought they was going to collide  i watched them for several minutes while they slowly
moved towards east while getting closer and closer to the ground. And i almost sure one was a Russian
SU 27 it was not a Swedish JAS39 for sure. The "SU 27"made a maneuver so it almost fell out of the sky
dived an hightailed eastbound with the 39 on its tail and they where gone 15 minutes later a lone 39
came back from east

Hi werby
As i said my 390 +060, 10.47-1, zero deck 040 sguisch Cleaned up C4 heads with CJ valves
Comp cam S282, Portmatched Streetmaster with enlarged plenum, Factory shorty castiron headers
750 Holley 2.5 exhaust with straight throug mufflers just before the bumper
would it benefit from a performer rpm down low?

I know the 2,80 isch gearing kills acceleration but i have a long distance from everything
As it is now on dry road it just bark the tires and take of. If wet or sand on the asphalt it spin the
tires to the cows come home
Im thinking about building another gearset to have to swap in when i "need" it 3,50,3,73,3,90-1 or?

Allso have the parts and a machined block to build a 447 what would it make with the same set up
I gues it would kill the FMX or the Factory T10 or the SB RUG i have
So a FE C6 or big rug i guess is the alternativ both difficult to find in Sweden nowadays

Non-FE Discussion Forum / worst hackjob in a long time
« on: August 12, 2020, 09:38:30 PM »
I fixed a crashed Rally Volvo a few months back. Saturday night
the friend that have PF Racing called. The Volvo had made a new
trip in to the forrest hit a ditch and cartwheeled in to some pine trees,
he wanted me to see if i could fix it. While there he showed me a
SBC out of a Camaro some kid had bought. He showed up at the
shop and wanted Peter to tune it beacuse it was running kind of
strange...... suposed to be a stout 383, block cracked at a main sadle,
welded, bored out and put two sets of bearing in that main, cracked again,
one rod was not a I beam but a J beam :D all 8 bent in some way
the ballance pads grinded away completly and then some. Nice Forged
pistons lightened by grinding away material under the piston pin :o
A welded on piece of angle iron as a balancepad on the flexplate :o
heads where junk.....Good thing for the kid the SBCs are everywhere
indestructibel, cheap and anyone can build one........ ;D ;D ;D
Why do you spend money on expensive pistons and build a pile of
junk like that and destroy the pistons on the way?

Non-FE Discussion Forum / ridiculous incompetence

Stepson has a fairly new Mercedes don't remember the year but.
It started to have intermittent starting problem. He check the cables
on the battery no problem there . Leaves it to the  autoriced Mercedes
service place. They diagnosed it found no code for something wrong.
So they put in a new battery 400$ plus work :o no change
they put in a new starter 440$ plus work :o no change. they said
the new battery was low so probably bad alternator he bought a new
alternator to change it himself. The first thing he See when he went
under the car is a severely oxidised ground strap from engine to chassie
10 inches away from the starter they changed.
Remove bolt some WD40 and a steelbrush maybe 10 cent, problem solved
It is criminal incompetence autoriced service my ass over 1000$ with out
solving a problem that took half a teaspoon of WD40 a steelbrush, 13mm
wrench and 10 minutes to fix.

Today i made a short temporary comeback in the bodywork business.
A friend that have a company called PF Racing, builds everything from
engines to complete cars.  A customer had crashed his Rally car so i fixed
the dented panels today.  He has his shop in a small village in middle of nowhere.
There is a few bachelor in their 50s still living with their parents.  And the only
thing for entertainment besides hunting moose they have since the gas station closed
Is to hang at Peters shop.  When i arrived today there was what i assumed was one of
them,  you now.  No ambitions no interests,no future, have not bee out of the village in 15
years  tragic life...
well i started on the mangled Rally Volvo and the guy went out the door, minutes later he came in carrying a
Aluminium V8block ??? I ask him what block is that, Its a ilmor,   What?  A ilmor Indy engine :o
What wait a minute Indy as in Indy 500? Yes correct .  Cool where do you found that.  Oh i bought
it in USA.  What are you putting that engine in?  One of my Formula one chassis.   Okay....
What formula one chassis?  Oh i have a couple of them a Sauber and a Honda so one of them :o
I had a hard time to believe my ears if had not seen the engine
Where you going to drive that? Ohh I'm all to fat to fit in it, i cant drive it someone ells have to do that
I'm just building it because i want to! Okay ??? :o carry on then.....I sure meet a lot of strange people ???
