That does look good Jay nice work! Those may end up being the best seller after the durability test as you can partially diagnose issues with little effort.

Yeah not much of a fan of the T style pan myself. It's just a thought, but I was thinking more along the lines of a conventional style finned pan mostly for street cars.

Jay have you kicked around the idea of casting any oil pans? A finned aluminum FE oil pan in 6-8 qt capacities would be a big seller imo.

Just a quick glance at some internet pictures, it looks like there's enough room on an original '67 Shelby GT500, which uses the LR intake.

67 Shelby had a LR intake??

If you have a RUG-S for a 68 Mustang/Shelby $$$, look for a vin stamp on the top of the front ears. You might possibly get enough out of that trans to buy you another one plus a bellhousing.

Toploaders are everywhere and a good one for your "temporary" needs should be $600-800 plus shifter. Build the engine right and be done and temporarily run a good used toploader until you can afford the TKO setup and the toploader will resale for what you have in it.

Build the engine right the first time with options 1&2 with the savings of going with a toploader and 3.50 rear gear.

Something to add to the discussion on the water jackets, I just looked at one of the 105 blocks and it has the 428 style that drops below the head bolt.

Thanks for sharing Barry because my shop says the exact same for FE heads and had me wondering. He said there isn't much meat in there and with limited use, it isn't worth it.
