Sent you an email.  By the way, for what its worth I did eventually get the full court-mandated settlement from Coon, but the court collection agent had to go to the machine shop where his SOHC heads were being machined, and basically threaten to seize them and put them up for auction before payment was finally made.  And the guy who paid was the machine shop owner; he probably figured that if the collection agent took the heads, he'd never get the money for the machine work from Coon.  I assume that at some point he got that money back from Coon...

I still have an ongoing court case with Bill Coon also.

Heard that he was at this spring's Columbus show selling heads.  I'm wondering if he intends to go to Beaver Springs this year.  Unfortunately there are still useful idiots that believe Coons line of BS.  Been thinking about posting a list of unfortunate souls who have not learned a hard lesson yet - what do you think - would that be a good idea?

This thread gets interesting towards the 4th and 5th pages:

Thanks for the link. It did get interesting at the end, especially page 7 where a shop owner was putting custom headers on a 05 Saleen with some "junk" motor in it. Turned out to be a sohc. Some people don't know cool even when their working on it. Now who do we know with a 05 Saleen, 6 speed, fuel injected, with custom headers? Maybe a smoky burnout is in order ::)

Hahahahaha, I was wondering if anyone caught that!! Now what are the chances that there are TWO Saleens getting Cammers installed with headers being built at the exact same moment? About 10,000,000:1 I'd say.

"Got an 05 saleen in the shop right now to get some headers made, shop owner tells me "some guy pulled the factory motor and put some junk in its place" i popped the hood to find that glorious SOHC. I asked the shop owner if he had any idea what it was, he didnt. I pretty much let him know, that car was not worthy of that motor. It was even duel TBI fuel injected with a six speed."

If it says it on the internet, it must be true.    :P

Joel, not sure if you're aware of this... http://fepower.net/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=1891.0
A forum member here, with an '05 Saleen, with a Cammer installed, who happens to have just had his headers made by a shop. But I'm thinking that it's a 5 speed ::)

I just read all of this. Wow.
I met the guy before but not at his place and had no dealings with him.
It does seem like he's a genuine shyster.

thanks Jay for sharing , it seems there are cons in every thing honest people try to do . I have helped people out for free and they would want me to pay them , I am sure others have also .

Keith Kraft must have some special deal with Coon, because they are often selling crate engines on eBay. There is a new set of heads for sale on eBay right now. I think that's probably the best way to get a set, buy them from someone who already has them.

Here's a news flash.  Coon was at the FE Reunion on Saturday.  Surprised the heck out of me as Beaver Bob introduced him.

I was talking with Jay this weekend and had told him that Coons was there last year but was very low keyed. Larry was that his display by itself just down toward where we were camping?

He actually came over to my display and started a conversation with me, was very nice and complimentary.  He did all the talking; I just stared at him.  I don't know what he thinks, like maybe we can be friends???  Go figure...
