I set the 416 engine I built into the 64 Galaxie frame to mock up the exhaust and all the mounting accessories I'll have when I put the 496 I'm building in it. And it sure looks like there is a clearance problem on the passenger side with the tire hitting one of the header tubes. The Super Comps have two tubes; the back two cylinders that go outside the frame, then under and back into the collector. When I put the front tire on and swing it all the way to the right it hits those header tubes.
I haven't adjusted the steering, so I don't know how bad those tubes interfere or hit when you turn right, but it sure looks like it's going to be a problem.
Anyone else run Super Comps in the 64 and are you having issues with this?
Other than that, they look like they would work great.....but I don't have the clutch linkage set up, so maybe that will give me some grief too, stay tuned....
