To shake down a vintage alcohol funny car.
70s built Mustang II body. 514 BB Ford, Glide, 871 blown injected on Methanol.. This car has not been down the track in some time.. I got the job of getting it running and checking out and getting all the systems working. Owner has got some time booked at Grove Creek Mn. to do some testing.. At this point probably just try some burnouts and 60 ft. launches at reduced rpm.. If all goes well maybe make an easy 1/8 mile pass. Not really looking to race this thing to it's full potential, just make it safe and ready for a few nostalgia exhibition events.
Driver needs to fit the cage . I would say under 5'11 and less than 200 lbs. (Joel, You are too fat.) I wouldn't fit, I am too tall (6'1)and no head room. Chassis was certified to 7.50 last time it was run, but it is not current.
Send Resume to Austin Coil or just PM me..

I have lots of friends with their NHRA license, I’m sure I can find someone.
I have a friend that drives this, he says he’s interested. He has the proper safety equipment for a blown car too. Forgive the car, he’s from a Ford family, he’s ok ;D

Jerico GTX Jeff would fit.

Just what I was thinking..... problem being the Ford horses are much bigger than MoPar horses and he might get spooked when he mashes the gas LOL..
I am game if he is...

Royce I will throw my hat in the ring. Im also 6"1, but willing to shrink up to fit. I have zero experience in such a car , but cant think of any more fun! Really just joking , as i would probably only damage the car and my self lol.

That'd be a nice ride. Having looked at a couple of FEDs I sorta came to the conclusion that the TF/FC A/FD racers of yore were skinny little critters. My 21" cage on the dragster is "snug" LOL.

While it sounds like a great opportunity, I'm not sure I'm the guy you are looking for. Kohlmann would be the guy to talk to. I don't think my license is good for something like that? I also do not like driving someone else's car. I'm a nervous ball of s#!t driving my own stuff.

Where is Kohlmann located?
-
Locally here in the Cities Steve Brings said he’d be happy to drive it too.

Well it seems we have plenty of candidate drivers.. Now the owner just needs to get a date and pick one. Kevin I think you might fit in there..

Brain Kohlmann is not interested.
