My 63 Fairlane was installed by an old guy in 1996 and he used the rope trick , all moldings must be installed in rubber prior to installation and most head liners tuck into the rubber gasket up top on the window , this guy had the window removed , trim installed and headliner tucked in roughly 20 minutes and I helped hold the glass no suction cups for final installation
the reason for the old guy back then was the upholstery shop forgot to install the window moldings when the did a headliner , not sure why they even took them out?
