Picked up a new project the other day. It supposedly had a 390 2bbl but when I drove it home spitting and sputtering  I was guessing it's a 360. Points were good, dwell was off, wrong plugs and wires. Fixed that stuff as well as curved the dizzy and she runs way way better. The truck goes right down the road and rides extremely nice. The a/c pump is locked up but everything else is there. Also a small exhaust manifold leak and a huge intake leak. Also its tough to tell a 360 from a 390 without taking them apart so we found tdc with the plugs out stuck a welding rod in and turned it over by hand till it stopped. Got 3.82 on my caliper so its gotta be a 390!  My plan for the truck, for now..... swap intakes, install a set of shorties that I have from the run stand, fix a few other smalls, and drive the heck out of it. I'll post some photos but I'm having a heck of a time with this 128 size limit thing.
