Seems like a natural progression in computerized electronic controls using today's technology.  Looks like it could even be retrofit to existing engines.

Looks like you can fit the rail and actuators to an
exsisting head. Whos first to make a retrofit kit
for an FE?  Jay???.....

they don't say where the air comes from. it's  gonna take a serious compressor. I doubt the fuel & weight saving are going to exceed the losses to the compressor. What happens in winter when the warm comp. air hits the cold solenoids? What about EGR? Pretty hard to beat modern roller cams & variable timing. Looks to me somebody trying to fleece investors.

I understand what you saying. There is always  this
miraculous carb, new type of engine, new fueldelivery
system, engines running on water. if they only get
someone to invest in their idea so.............
Usually ends with jail for fraud for the inventor.
And rumors that the oil companies is behind the
failure with bribes and death threats.

But Cristian Koeningsegg is the only of hundreds that
said they are going to build the badest sportcar in the
world. That actually succeeded.
While the others built a couple of barely running prototypes
on  VW chassis.
So lets see, Interesting if it works

Actually these valve actuators are not that new.
F1 has been using pneumatic valves for decades.

As i understand it its electronic valve actuators like a fi nozzle
and pneumatic valve springs

Heo, I've been watching the Koenigsegg car company since Christian started it. Of all the "hyper" cars out there, his is the one that really gets my blood going. Still based on Fords 302 engine, which is what it started with, the newer engine is all Koenigsegg but still retains many of the attributes of the original 302 design. It is just flat out cool and is the ONLY super car with that old V8 sound, and flat out blows away most other super cars. Have you ever seen one where you live?

I've been watching their development of the pneumatic valve system and have been waiting to see if they incorporate it into their engine design. It's been several years that they've been working on it.

No Dough i have never seen one live. They make them
in the other end of the country. And i think no one around
here got that kind of money to buy one.

Same for me not much for "hyper"cars. But he set a goal
and made it.I admire that and in a way its kind of a "home"
built hotrod with a Ford engine 8) and sounds like a V8

The ghost emblem on the cars is a tribute, To the Fighter
squadron that was on the airforce base where the factory
is now located. In fact Swedens oldest fighter squadron before
they where shut down, They had that emblem

Yep, I was aware of that. I've paid pretty close attention to them from the beginning and watched about every video, interview and documentary that I have been able to find. Their powdered metal variable turbo is also a thing of beauty and a brilliant engineering piece. I give the guy credit, he is always thinking outside the box and pushing new ideas and making them work. As of now, I think there is only one in the U.S., mostly because they hadn't passed stringent U.S. laws for imported cars. I hope to see one some day.

F1's pneumatic valve system is very different however, they still use cams. F1 replaced springs with oil, and I want to say that happened around the late 90's.
