I know this isn't FE, but it is a very cool old Ford. I had the honor of driving this one last time to take it to auction.
This will be for sale on the R&M motors retirement auction on Monday 4/28

It has a 531superduty with a 5 spd transmission

I have a video of the truck running, but someone handier at these things than me would have to do it.

I actually want to add one, even though it didn't come with one.  The garage stall that it resides in is uncomfortably narrow and a passenger mirror would help in backing out without rearranging the sheet metal.  My driver's side mirror is rectangular and I have to readjust it every time I close the door.

Mine is loose at the ball adjustment at the mirror.  The bigger issue is that I don't have a mirror for the passenger side.

Are the reproduction rectangular rearview side mirrors decent quality, or should I be looking for an original?  The diver's side mirror on my 66 is getting sloppy and I'd like to add a mirror to the passenger side.

Thanks and Happy Easter

Snow removal is just another one of those things that we take for granted these day.  Thanks for posting a picture of your 4 horse town.

Merry Christmas
Mike

This car isn't mine, but it is local to me and might make a good project for someone.

I run BF Goodrich radial TAs on my 66 galaxie with the blackwalls out.  They've been on for awhile and I'm not sure what's available now.

That sucks.  I broke my elbow at the beginning of my spring rush one year and the time wearing the brace was only half the battle.  It took 6 months to get full mobility back and years before there wasn't a painful hitch in my giddiup.

Good Luck with your recovery

This is only my opinion, but I would only go with that sort of paint scheme if you have military service in your backround.

I struggled with this myself and wound up buying 2 smaller generators and the cables to pair them together.  I bought generac 2200I inverters.  This gives me the equivalent of a 4000 plus watt generator and greater portability.  They are about half of the money of Honda 2100 inverters and I can carry one in each hand and store them on shelves easily.  The biggest problem with a larger generator is the fact that they are so big and heavy that they can be hard to store and maneuver.  I think the 2200I has been supplanted by the 2500I, but the concept is still the same.

Not only is it slow, but I get kicked off from time to time and have to login again. As a positive, I found my password in an old notebook LOL

Barry Gaugler (sp?)  used to have a manifold interchange on his Spookytruck.net website, but I don't see it there now.  Maybe drop an email to him to see whether he still has it in his files.

As for me I'd rather spend my two extra hundo employing people working here.

My sentiment too.  Any savings is likely to be used up trying to seal it, unless you get lucky.  For the record, I've never been that lucky.

So siamesed cylinders may have been as much for ease of production when building the cores as anything else.
