416 Capsaddle Tri-power next chapter
« on: December 24, 2011, 09:34:47 PM »
As some of you will recall, I built a 416 with one of Shoe's Capsaddles, it has a solid cam similar to a Comp 282S, stock C3AE-G heads and about 9.5 - 1 static compression. I wanted it to look the part for my 61 Starliner, so I built it using an original Ford Tri Power intake and carbs. The dyno results were a little disappointing as the motor made just under 400 HP. Here's the YOutube of the dyno session:

The consenses was that the Tri Power and heads were the cork. So, I took a set of C2AE heads I have and another Tri Power intake and had them ported to flow better. The heads now flow 320 Intake and 240 Exhaust. I think the combustion chamber are also smaller, so the compression is going to bump up a bit too.

Any guesses as to how much power I'm going to pick up?
