Was there ever a fe cast crank that had grooved mains ?

Yes, early 427s if I remember correctly.  The SS/Stock Eliminator folks used to seek these out to comply with rules in their respective classes.  I have one under one of my benches that I have had probably 40 years.  Joe-JDC

Thanks for the conformation,  I was 90% sure I was right in an argument but with my luck lately I figured I'd best confirm.  Looks like someone's gonna owe me a breakfast in the morning..

C4ae-b 427 crank is grooved.

Hi Po 390s and 406s also had grooved cranks. I don't remember if my Hi Po 352 had a grooved crank.

The crank in my 427 Top oiler has grooved mains.

Yes - - and I would recommend they remain on a shelf somewhere.  Not my favorite oiling strategy.

I agree 100%...Same with cross drilled cranks. Old technology that needs to be left on the shelf as well.

Oh he thinks it's a steal crank and gold. I looked at it today and knew right away its cast, its a C4aE-B just as Jack mentioned. Its cast, freshly turned and looks good but it ain't $600.oo good lol.
