67 Mustang Pro Street
« on: November 11, 2022, 12:17:56 PM »
I am so busy it's hard for me to get time to post anything. But it's raining today to try to contribute something to the site. I've been working on this project for many years. 470ci blown sohc will have a 4r70w when done. working on the tilt front end at this part of the project. Once that is done I think it will be ready for paint.

Not sure on color, thinking about House of Color gold with some old school graphics.

I've been wanting to paint one of our cars a newer brown color. All the auto makers have some really neat modern metallic brown colors now. Porsche "Anthracite Brown" is pretty neat, with some black Shelby stripes?

Well been moving along with the pro street, thought I'd post a few more pics. got the interior painted. did an all steel floor, going to insulate everything and cover with stitched leather. brakes are done, stating on the wiring. Hope to get it started soon, see if it moves.  :)

How Cool the pictures are so big I can not see it all though, how big is your alternator to run all the system and power steering, love it.

Leny, on my computer you can right click on the picture and select Open Link in New Tab.  This will show you the whole picture.

Gonna be a very impressive car, that's for sure...

Well finally got to the point that we could test the car to see if everything was working correctly together. A Monumental moment after 32 years. A few years of work a lot of years of sitting around. When I first put the chassis kit together from Chris Aliston, it was set up for a 385 series. But after meeting Jim Dove and quite a few years later ended up with and SOHC motor in the car. 4R70W trans, Strang rear. Got to strip it back down now for body work and paint so there's a long ways to go. I wanted to cry driving the car around a little bit for the first time after all these years, but I was too scared at the time. ;D. Fortunately everything worked well motor stayed cool, trans felt good, and the brakes were good!

Congrats on a great day of success! The car is looking awesome. Then again, you could put that engine in an Escort and it'd be the coolest car around. ;D

Nice attention to detail on the build. I hope you'll post some more after the paint and final assembly.
