Is that a Lykins custom roller cam I see there? ;D
I don't think that engine will fit in my Galaxie.....
-
I was wondering the same thing about the roller cam. Those roller rocker arms are impressive!

Where there is a wil there's a way. We can make it fit a Galaxie. The 100rpm is kind oif troubling though, even with 2.75 gears it may not be too fast. I would imagine Isky has a cam that can get it to spin at least five grand.

coolspring museum should be on every motor head,s bucket list. There are tons and tons of primitive steam and hit & miss engines. A few times a year they have a gathering and run them all. You can visit it anytime though and just leave a donation in a box. be prepared to spend the better part of the day .Close to I80 exit 78 in Brookville PA.

What intrigued me about the 600 HP at 100 rpm is that it takes right at 32,500 lb-ft of torque achieve that!!

Imagine your daily work as the shop oil boy and this engine is providing power to the main shaft for the whole shop.
There must be 50 oil cups on that engine, not to mention all the exposed oiling needs as it is running.
I was surprised how fast they got it turning with that 38 foot stroke....okay, maybe its not really 38 feet, but it is a long, long stroke.

When I was in the Navy I ran a machine that had 30 oil cups.
To be filled daily or as required. :)

There many little minions at OSHA having fits at the very idea!!!
