Cam Id help
« on: April 25, 2020, 03:42:34 PM »
I bought a Hi Riser engine out of NC recently and I'm trying to get some information on the roller cam that was in it.

Stampings indicate that it was a Holman Moody block at some point, but it was built back in the 90s I believe in its current status.

I can't seem to post a picture here but on the back of the cam is:

Stamped in the back are 2019 A & 5 95

Hand engraved are
312B- R8
E
KA0763

Any help appreciated.

Thanks, that might possibly be it, but I've never seen a Comp Cam without CC on it...? I'll call them tomorrow. Much appreciated.

You could also put the cam in any FE block and set up a degree wheel and map out the cam yourself.
Advertised duration (0.020" lifter rise), 0.050" duration etc.

Cheers

Yes, the "E" was the stacked CC for comp cams. It was hard to recognize. I'd post a picture but it's a pain in the ass to do so here...

Thank you.

I’m not sure why but these sorts of mysteries always intrigue me...

Somebody must have been having a bad day with the engraver...  :o
