That was a couple years ago. :)

Just made passes with the tune that was "in there"...

Not like I am really trying to go rounds, but the data would have been nice to have.

FWIW - the O2 sensor must be defective and lying' to me - mixture was reading OK, but the thing was full of soot, so its gonna get a new sensor and leaned out a bunch.  Maybe it will make eighty gazillion more horsepower and run crazy fast.  Even better is if it just goes down the track without any drama.

Is there space at the track to park a camper? It's a 1957 GM 4104 bus and old Greyhound. There are a few things to do, but I think I can get it ready to take down. Do they charge for parking a camper? Do I need to reserve space ahead of time?

   thanks,

Yes, they do have primitive camping, or what they call Boondock Style. All the info you need can be found here...

Plenty of room for a bus, Mark.   If you get there early, you might fit back where I park(and Doug and Brian).   Get on Google Maps and look at the satellite picture.

We park in the next to last row, in with those trailers that are sitting there now.

I'm planning on going. First time out with my Comet, been trying to get it done every year for the last couple but always more work than expected. But I finally finished it up last fall. Haven't run it down a track yet so I'll be green. I'm slightly intimidated by it to be honest, may need some tuning and driving advice from the pros!

I was thinking of heading down over the course of Thursday. It's about an 8 hour drive for me. Will there be access on Thursday evening? Or, should I plan to camp out in a rest area and head in Friday morning?   Larry, when do you plan to get there?

Last yr I got there Thursday and parked by Larry and Doug. I didn`t tow he car down but just camped and took in the sights. This yr I was planning on taking the Galaxie but its not going as well as I hoped. The backup is my 56 F100 with the 427 in it. I haven't taken that in 4 yrs but its always running and I will show it at the car show. I will go down Thursday  again.

I know Bob doesn't really want the whole world showing up too early but I typically get there Thurs afternoon.  Don't know what the new owner will allow?  I know Bob still runs this event.  It is 5+ hrs travel for me.  I know Bob closed the gate about 5 pm so any later and you have to wait to get in Friday.  There is a little parking outside the gate for a few vehicles.

Thanks for the good compliments! I've been putting that Comet together for 4 years? Not as nice as a lot of cars that go to the FE Reunion but it's respectable. Hope to run 11's maybe? I have an 8 hour drive too, I'll be trying to roll in Friday morning if I can leave at 2 am be there at 10! Last time I went to Beaver Springs was a couple years ago brought my 65 Galaxie. Truck caught fire on I80 on the way home and I ruptured my Achilles tendon pushing it away from my trailer! Saved the car but took a year and 2 surgeries to put the tendon back together. Looking for a trouble free tow this year! Got a bigger fire extinguisher too!
