Figured I would post a few pics of different heads to show some apparent differences between cast and machined spring pockets. I still don’t know if the heads are 390 or 406. They match what Chris said, ( Denver heads).
Thanks,
JB

The 406 C2SE/ C3SE heads should not have a seat "cut" into the head. They use a cup like the 427 .  In they are cut into the spring seat they're not OE seats. Also something to consider is the only heads listed with cup seats was the 6V heads.

Do you have a good picture of the chambers?

Keith, my email address is jwysocki@charter.net

The machinist at the shop where the heads are feels something was taken off the deck. Measuring off head bolt holes to establish deck height was inconclusive.
Might be awhile before I get back there to get more pics. At 67 cc with a skimmed deck how could they be '63 6V heads?

Thanks,
JB

You have E-mail. The pictures should help you out. However, the engineering numbers on the castings only show two possibilities.

JB: Did the Emailed pictures help you with identification at all?
