I was looking at putting an under dash unit in my '65 Mustang but don't really have the room for a conventional compressor. But I found a universal electric unit on EBay but I don't know if it would be big enough to effectively run an under dash a/c unit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/274797036892?hash=item3ffb2e055c:g:rXwAAOSw1ylgnQ7t
I'm planning on trying out a full kit from these guys in one of my cars, as well as one of their compressors that I hope to use with a vintage air evaporator in my 1964 Galaxie:https://www.classicretrofit.com/products/air-conditioning-kit-for-classic-911-full-kitI have not bought anything yet though. Just another avenue for you to consider.Quote from: AlanCasida on June 14, 2021, 06:08:17 PMI was looking at putting an under dash unit in my '65 Mustang but don't really have the room for a conventional compressor. Yikes! At that rate, it seems like you'd need a dedicated 100+ amp alternator just for the compressor.Alan, I take it you didn't go to RMRW? I looked at results of day 1 and didn't see your name anyplace.
