I thought maybe Gas Ronda was a survivor but it's not.  The rear axle is moved forward such that the wheels are right at the back of the doors and the engine is pushed back as well.

Thank you Kevin.  The story I read made it sound as though they were street cars, but I'm certain these are the 11 cars they were talking about.  The article you posted a link to was a great read, they covered the work very well.  I'm surprised that all DST/H&M did to stiffen up the cars was adding roll cage unless there was other work done that wasn't shown.  Cool pictures.

I stumbled on a clip today that said Ford rolled out 11 Fastback Mustangs in 1965 with 427s.  Does anyone know if this is true?  I'd like to read about this or better yet see some pictures.  Any info would be appreciated.

Good for you!  I've never been much of a drinker but I've been around enough of it to know how hard it is on you and those around you.  You're a better man without it, guaranteed.  It's always heart warming for me to see fellow man succeed.  Keep up the good work bud.

I chatted with Blair by text a few days ago, he is at the shop working.  I know he has a lot or irons in the fire and is having a hard time holding onto good help.  That's kind of the theme song for most small businesses right now unfortunately.  I don't like to distract him during the workday so I usually send him a text and let him get back to me when he can.  That seems to be the best way catch up with him.

Bridgeport made a smaller "M" head mill.  They are much less common than the standard J head, but they do exist.

They do pedal their own line of brake stuff, but I used Wilwood.  Since I already had a Wilwood kit on the rear they set me up with the caliper brackets, aluminum hats for the rotors and the part numbers for the appropriate Wilwood rotors and calipers.

I have the RRS strut front suspension kit for a 66.  Mustang II suspension is much more popular, I liked this route better, either way it's not a cheap endeavor...

Out of curiosity, are there any octane boosters that actually work?  Something you could carry with you to throw in the tank if you were running on the edge with 94 octane and you were out of town and couldn't get "good gas?"

The process uses high pressure water and abrasive media instead of compressed air and media.  It's has a lot of benefits, primarily no dust.

Ok, not my intention to insinuate that Fairconman is looking to rip anyone off.  This went a little off track.  I have no reason not to trust this guy and don't want to represent anything other than that.

I think Blair still has heads available.

Ford offered a tunnel port package for the Windsor in the 90s.
Required a unique block.

Then they abruptly pulled it from the market and bought back parts that they had delivered.

Why the special block, and what other development work was done for that package?

I wonder why they wanted them back so bad.
