So far I have only had three pair on the dyno.  I've built/shipped out +/- 36 pair so far and am eagerly awaiting feedback myself...

Tell me more about the 3 on the dyno Barry , I really want to build my other 428 block into a 465 and use your heads on it. Thanks  B N

I'm working on 450" with these heads hopefully it will be on the dyno in September sometime.

4.245 x 3.98,  solid flat tappet. 10.75 compression pump gas deal. Should be a fun engine.

The heads are nice. I'm setting them up with 2.19 intakes the exhaust is up for debate still but thinking the 1.68 range looks good for the factory throating.
I use a Flowdata bench and its a bit stingier than a Superflow. A good buddy has a Sf 600 that I will check them on for comparison.

Not to hijack, but I've been thinking about purchasing a flow bench myself, and have looked at both the Flowdata and Superflow benches.  Superflow doesn't offer the SF-600 anymore, they have a computerized version now that they call the SF-750.  The Flowdata bench isn't really mainstream, but technically it looks just as good, maybe better.  Can you tell me why you decided on the Flowdata bench over the Superflow?

By the way, are you the guy doing the Y-block aluminum heads?  I have a couple of friends who have those...

I went with the flowdata for a few reasons.  First being I wanted to get away from square edge orifice machine and go to a device with a laminar orifice.  The reason behind this is because square edge orifice have a narrow range of velocity where they are accurate this why a sf600 needs 6 orifice to cover the range of the machine. The next reason was using audie software that was compatible with the swirl meter that we had. The last reason was that owning a Superflow Atv chassis dyno,  don't get me wrong I feel its a great machine but dealing with them on one piece of equipment is enough.
I think it was asked what flowbenches cost. At the time when I bought I think the range was 5k-20 k just depending on machine and options.

John is my dad he the y block guy. My name is Geoff Im the resident work on everything head guy.

im really leaning towards a 2.15 intake and a 1.66 exhaust with 11/32 inch stem , bowl blend with a port on the intake and clean up on exhaust . that should feed 465 c i at 6200 rpm but give me input velocity / volume im 5500 feet above sea level .. B N

Those are the same size valves I'm using in some c4aeg heads that are going on a 428 project. The 2.15 intake would be a nice choice for the survival heads. The head has quite a bit of venturing built in it so it will take some clever blending.
