Was someone looking for tunnelport head modifcation a while back?

I found a drawing of the epoxy buildup in the lower intake port, it`s a tracing that was sent to me yrs ago.

The same process is done with 351 4 V heads, I guess it works but never tried it. I have however filled cross over ports and exhaust cross overs with JB weld and that worked out excellent. I would be interested in seeing some flow numbers on a modified raised floor head, would definetly be interesting.

Jon, Brent just did a set for Gary Verdas. He picked up 40 cfm. There's a thread here on technical forum.

WOW 40 CFM is definetly a big gain, I bet the velocity jump didn't hurt either. I haven't decided on my next build yet but I am considering a modified set of tunnel ports for a big cube build up for my Comet. I will have to look at the thread and read up :-)

Jon I don't think you can go wrong with a properly prepped set of Tunnel Port heads and intake.
In the right hands they can be made to make some HP.
Blair and Barry both have had some nice numbers using them.
These things have made a believer out of me.
Never expected almost 700 HP out of them with 465 cubes.
We have played around with these for a while and you can see the results.
Hated to give up and quit where we were at so we are going to see what 46 more cubes and a cam
change will yield.
Were hoping somewhere north of 750

Gary, the template show the floor rised 1/4" or so to make a "D" shape. I also heard that Holman/Moody used to weld a couple of spiral beads into the port area to increase volocity(sp) and keep the fuel in suspension. This was told to me by a guy who used to work for them, Sounds crude but was effective in their highbank efforts.
