Joe  Did someone actually ask you to port an SP2P?  Or that was just an observation?.. Working with Lincoln Y and MELs I am very familiar with awful factory intakes.

Hey, I ported the SP2P intake for my F350 4 x 4 w/ the 400C back in '79!   8)   Yeah, I know............why?   ???  But in the end it really did work well for the application.   :)

Thanks, everyone for your help and comments. I think I will try putting it to use.  I have one person in another forum who says he had one and used a set of C4-G heads which I have.  If anyone has a normal correct T-bird tri-power that is willing to let it go please let me know.

Yes, I have tried to work out the flow on a Dual Port FE intake, and it was not a success.  I also worked a Offy Dual Port for Pinto 2.3 with 4V intake that was not very good.   I stopped taking those in for work after the first couple of them.  Bad concept in my opinion.  Joe-JDC

   Joe ,
"Back in the day" we tried to improve the dual port by cutting out the divider  from the flange inward by at least two inches. This did help ET but not as much as a "regular" dual plane. I have no idea what it might have done to fuel economy as these were drag race engines for bracket racing. On this tri power a cut back would remove the "last" turn down the air was being forced to do. As we all know every turn hurts flow.
