No, a question mark usually indicates a question or guess.  Do you have an answer?

Got reborn when Jay Brown relesed the Great FE Intake Comparo. I know this doesn't help but couldn't resist.

Didn't see a specific year, but several references to it being produced in response to the gas crisis, so yes I'd guess by the time it was developed it was mid 70s

The Holley Street Dominator manifold line was released in 1976.
I believe that the Edelbrock Streetmaster series beat them to market by a year or so.

That sounds about right. I bought my first Streetmaster in 1976, and it came with a couple of sheets on how to modify the intake for racing. I did the mods and raced my 66 Fairlane GTA with the Streetmaster until the end of 77. I know by then that Edelbrock no offered the F427 intake. Funny how more than 40 years later, there is much more aftermarket support for the FE engine today than there was in the mid 70s. Not to mention, pretty much anything new that was offer for the FE was for gas mileage or trunk/RV use.

Early '75. I remember the Edelbrock rep Dick Carr bringing one into the speed shop where I worked because he knew I was a ford guy and would like it. Too small was my reply. LOL

Is Edelbrock rep Dick Carr the same guy who raced a SuperStock/A stick Corvette in the late 80's?

Mid 70's?

I put one on my '67 390gt fastback mustang. I bought the car in June of 74 and sold it in '77.  I rebuilt the motor in late '74 or early '75 and added a streetmaster intake and hooker headers.  I think I bought the manifold at El Monte Service Center speed shop. Got the headers from Ron Miller in a garage in Monrovia before there was a FPP.
Wish I still had that car.
