I bought a 34' Plymouth bench seat for a guy on the Hamb and wrapped it up

We are trying to figure out the most economical way to ship it

It is 31 " tall... 21" deep and 48" wide ... weighs around 104 lbs

Maybe Gray hound? I did some large items with them back about 20 years ago. Not sure if they still do that though.

Several years ago I bought a rear bench seat for a 2002 F250 crew cab off of Ebay and it was shipped to me via Greyhound Bus service. Like what was previously mentioned, I am not sure they still do that.

I'm curious to hear how this plays out, given that I've got a near mint rear seat for a Cyclone/Torino I need to get sold.

This is from pirateship

Putting the size/weight came up to $233.00  ... I chatted online just to make sure before I paid for a shipping label
...

If you need any help, we're here to chat all day every day from 7-9 PT / 8-10 MT / 9-11 CT / 10-12 ET.

Just let us know if you have any questions or need a pirate joke 🏴‍☠️

I live in Texas and wish to ship a bench seat for a car to Washington ..... The seat is boxed up and wrapped ..... It is 31" tall, 21" deep and 48" wide ....
 It weighs 103 to 104 lbs .....
Could I send a pic of the seat to make sure the shipping quote is correct please ?? .... The package looks like a cardboard bench seat for a car.

Ahoy Richard!

Ah I see! You can send over the photo but as long as you are entering in the dimensions and weight correctly then the quote you are getting will be accurate

Thanks for that! Did you have a quote you wanted me to check as well?

I checked in with my Captain and they recommended not using Pirate Ship for this package because of the size and shape, this is going to be a package better suited to a freight service like DHL
The concern is because of the size of this package it could be close to to if not already exceeding the limit for packages going into UPS' system which can result in a large overmax charge over $1,000 which we want to avoid

Take the seat back off and send it in separate packages or strapped together so it lays flat.

TomP ... that is a good idea, neither of us thought of that

There would be 3 pieces, the frame, top and bottom seat

I weighed them seperate, I can guess the seats width/height/length

Already made a box and wrapped it up ... lol

Update ..... seat arrived in perfect shape

NOTE:   after printing label/s .... cut label to size, bring clear packing tape and let the clerk put the label on

I shipped the frame and top cushion together, the bottom shipped seperately

You cant measure as the drawing shows, must measure with a straight edge at the farthest point which is where the frame angle back

Ignore the 37" angleed line..... view the package as a box

Also, if you set the frame up and measured, the measurement would be more

pirateship rate calculator does all the calculations for you .. UPS shows... 2 x the height, 2 x the width then add the length

The frame was over size freight, could not be under 90 lbs are over 150 lbs or over 165"
..............
EDIT: being over size negates the over 90 lbs
.................
UPS shows to wrap in corrugated cardboard and at least 6 layers of plastic wrap

I tapped all the sharp cardboard edges down with a rubber mallet so as to not tear the plastic wrap

Frame was $239.00 and the bottom cushion was $70.00 ... UPS and Fedex were $600.00 and $650.00 online

The buyers Fedex account showed $488.00 but not sure if that was with them wrapping it
