Picked my Galaxie out of two year hibernation today.
Car didn't mind for the long rest started right away and after warming up idled smooth.
So we headed to home and after few kilometers turned music player on.After twenty or so kilometers realized no music...
Summer giving it's best and 428 purring you don't need music.
(I always listen Lynyrd Skynyrd,CCR,or something similar when driving my toys)
Apparently I don't always need Lynyrd Skynyrd 8)

What if that girdle would be say inch and A half thick.
Mill A pocket for oil pump breathing/oil/pipe holes beetween caps, plate and sump to keep oil inside or just plate if dry sump.
Definently not worth if you pay for the labor but if you have A mill and sparetime (and couple of turbos to split the cylinder walls;))

I shouldnt be messing with this but why not pin the stand to the head?
Wouldnt that really keep things in place.
I have been taught that fastener (bolt)clamps things together and the friction of the surfaces should keep things together not the bolts sides.

Iwe done machining jigs same way that the bolt alings things but rocker fretting seems wrong place for that.

Im not saying that dosent work just ive been taught to think difrent way.

« on: November 04, 2020, 12:22:41 AM »
Following!!!
I have a Cccp era motorcycle project with 750->900cc plus project.
I tig welded the chambers an re machinined and reshaped the combustion chambers.
I'm not certain that I made all the right moves because way I think the flattie combustion chamber is balancing act between flow and compression ratio.
This kinda freeflowing project with only ambition to make as much my own engine parts:stroker crank ,rods, cam, etc.
Will it ever run probably not but if it will it will see some flat track action
