I also thought so if breaking a new cam in his way was so good all cam grinders would tell you to do it.I would like to know how the factory broke them in when they were all flat tappet.

Years ago i helped on a stock car with a 427 chevy after each race it had foam all over out of the breathers He  ran Kendell gt 1 he changed  to Shell. no problem  he was told gt1 had to many cleaners.

Unhook the vacuum  advance  i have had them go bad more rpm the more it missed .

All you with trailers  paint your name and number on the roof its a good way to get it back.Some times small airplanes can spot it in lot or on the road.Just go to your local airport and ask

Anyone hear that owned a gold 69 mustang called good vibrations  i seen it run at one of the first expos at national trial it ran high 9s i talked with the owner it had a tp with the d cam. It was one of the faster  cars back then.

I was on ebay to day they have some nos autolite and some blue streak l have had good luck with them also if you oil the wick they stay gapped  a long time.

Jay is right keep your old parts new ones are junk even points file your old ones as you can.I get on ebay you can find some nos autolite some times.

Find a 3310 -1 780 holley a lot of them on ebay now its one of the best holleys made, If you put a kit ln yourself and get a quick change klt for the secondarys and tune it to your liking you will be a happy camper  It was first made for a 396-425 hp chevy they got it rite,

Sockets for the core with some blue lock tight (brass plugs) the cam i use a pipe cap two inch l think it ls.
