I’m looking for pros/cons and opinions on which EFI system would be best suited for my application. These are my engine details:
Shelby large bore aluminum FE block (4.375 bore)
4.375” (526 cid) or 4.5” (541 cid) 4340 forged crankshaft
Pond SOHC heads
Jay Brown SOHC rocker arms
11:1 static compression ratio
93 octane pump gas
Hilborn EFI (2-7/16” butterflies)
Holly HP EFI system?
Custom 2” headers
Cam specs are still undecided but they will need to be big
Car use: 90% street, 5% drag, 5% autocross
Curb weight is unknown but I would estimate it to be a couple hundred pounds less than stock.
Target horsepower and torque: 800 hp @ 7000+ rpm and close to 700 Torque @

After speaking with Hilborn they recommended either Holly HP or a FAST system. Do you guys have a preference or info that may sway my decision?
