Intake gaskets
« on: September 23, 2017, 11:55:19 AM »
Could anyone advise on the cometic fiber intake gaskets?
I have a KC intake and head combo that was port matched to cometic gaskets.
I have just dropped off the lot to a local shop with the latest flow bench for some testing and improvement, I hope!!
Will post results as I get them.

I am aware of the issues raised in a few books ect of the fiber felpo gaskets and use in a street application.
Mine is a street application and do these fiber cometic gaskets suffer the same fate?
What is the best alternative with similar port sizes?
Thanks
Joel

The Cometic gasket material doesn't blow out like the Fel-Pro Print-O-Seal gaskets do.  Use some good RTV around the water jackets and ports and you will be fine with those gaskets.
