Wow that is cool, wish I had been there to see him and the car. I would imagine Chris Whitney saw the car and Richard.

The car fell into good hands when Gordy Cook sold it.Dean had the resources and connections to bring it back to this caliber. He knew a lot of racers as a "go-for kid" when young.

So was this the car that was turquoise and still raced a few years ago? Nice job of it.

Robert Pond and I got to meet Richard Charboneau and Dean Carlson at the Winternationals. Dean did a hell of a job on the restoration. Richard approved of Dean's job and shared quite a few stories with Rob and I.
The Charboneau wagon is know in the NHRA museum for a while. The car looks great. Richard was driving the Wagon around the Pitts at the Winternationals.
Jim Cook out of Minnesota owned the Charboneau wagon for many years. Then sold it to Dean Carlson.

I'm not sure who owned the Turquoise  wagon
