I also was at Lions Drag Strip in the 60s for that match race, Hubert and Phil Bonner put on a show that I will never forget. Good memories of good men.

Jay, sorry to hear about your motor problems. Had other running to do after I saw you on Sunday. Was there Monday morning and figured they was a problem. You should have the award for the one man show/worker,fabricator/engine builder/developer etc. Hope the problem isn't too serious.

Jay, Nice ride. Had a light blue one about 1970. If you check out Nascar in 1960 they were using T-Birds.
I lived in LA in the mid 60s and was driving a 60 Starliner with an FE. Was at Herb's Automotive Machine shop in Bellflower or Lakewood and the guy working for Herb had a 60 Bird with a 430 and a 3 speed manual transmission.

Hello, I'm Jim (69Chop1) from Minnesota. I bought my first FE in 1965, it was in a 60 Starliner when I was living in LA. Had many 60s Fords with FEs in them and then moved up to 67-70 Mustangs with FEs in them.
Currently have 3 69-70 Mustangs with FEs in them. My (almost) daily driver is a 69 Mustang fastback with a chopped top, tubbed etc powered by a 428 CJ and a C6.
