It looks like there is a tach drive coming off the distributor, what would be the reason for the additional connection at what looks like a splitter?

Not sure if it's the case here, but it's one way to get to a mechanical rev limiter.

I don't see a tach drive. That is an old Mallory distributor [A "YL" mode lmaybe?] and they used external condensers. Perhaps thats what you are seeing? Never mind...I see it now. I should have expanded the pic. ::)

There is defenitly a cable comming from dist to a
drive that divide it to two cables one going rearward
one going forward to??

The bean can in the upper right is the tach-drive limiter.
