I don't have the link, but my Son just sent me a screenshot of a Freiburger post announcing the 2020 dates and tracks of Drag Week. Except for replacing Columbus with Byron, these are the same tracks that I went to on my first Drag Week, when my Son and I went. Very local to me. I'm definitely in next year.

That's great news! I much prefer the wide open spaces over mass congestion of the east coast.

That'd be cool, Larry! I've already got several friends that said they'd make the trip to watch. Norwalk is a long way from Indy (almost 300 miles by the straightest shot), and Indy to Byron is another long haul, like over 270 miles, so I guess I better get my butt in gear and finally install that Gear Vendors overdrive!
A quick map check shows almost 1100 miles, by interstate! :o Something tells me there won't be a lot of country driving on this Drag Week!

Heard about this yesterday and thought of a engine swap for the car.The first hurtle is the entry.May have to install a new thermocouple in the computer.

Does this mean you're considering going with the '57? I think that'd be awesome. Don't forget, nobody has ever been turned away at Drag Week, registered or not. Same was true this year, and they 'sold out' in record time, with a huge waiting list, and they were still short on the maximum entries on tech day.

If the drunk monkey goes, I'll just HAVE to go. The after-race imbibing at whatever watering hole is near the next track could not be missed ;D

Doug, I can imagine many that do get signed up break or can't make the call to begin with.

I'm sure that's true, especially this year. Even though I had no intentions of going this year, for the reasons Alan mentioned, I was on the waiting list, and I never got a notice that I was next in line. I thought that this year might actually fill up, but I was wrong.

Just think Steve, you could probably take out the top 3 contenders in Modified NA just in the routes alone.
-
Jay, will you be ready?
Joel, is working on the Hot Rod. We are signed up for the Midwest Drags, and will be going to Drag Week.
Kevin, will we see the Cougar finally?
Having the Drunk Monkey attend would be worth the price of admission alone. I have a couple Go Pros that will need to be mounted in the 57, for the track to track drives. I could probably make decent money, with that entertaining film.

After reading the rules and seeing that I had no chance in the class,a new strategy came into play. Thanks Jeff...... ;D

I doubt they would have the route on the freeway for too much of it. Before they built the freeways they had nice old highways like US30 and 40 and those have typically been the Drag Week routes.
