I see more than a few of these listed on ebay
They are vacuum secondary with front an back jet plates
Online search allowed they had down leg boosters
Any know if these things run ok ??

Although the 3310 780 Holley was originally used on the 375HP 396 Chevy, the 3310-1,2,3 etc are all later "universal" carbs. I have a few each of the 3310-1 and -2, and on mine, the -1 has the downleg booster and a secondary metering block, with jets, but my -2s have straight boosters and secondary metering plates (no changable secondary jets. Most -2s that I have seen had manual chokes, while the -1s had automatic chokes.

Thanks Rory :-)
The one I was lookin at appears to be a hodge modge of parts

I don't know about the specific carb you are looking at, but I think the 3310-1's with downleg boosters are one of the best overall carbs ever made.
I still have the 3.89 ring and and pinion you asked me about sitting on my kitchen table.

Remember that the carb doesn't know - or care - what make of engine it's on. 8) The are good all around carbs and usually run pretty well right out of the box with as-delivered jetting, etc. I prefer the purple secondary spring in a vacuum carb.

The Chevy versions that I have and had in the past all had adjustable idle air bleed circuit right next to the air horn , myself I love them with the adjustable idle air bleed

Easy way to tell if the carb was OEM on BBC 396/375hp or 396/425hp Corvette is the primary boosters have a little tab on each of the boosters on the the outside diam. These supposedly are flow diffusers to correct a minor flow problem on the BBC dual plane manifold. Only the OEM 3310-1 uses down leg boosters and are excellent carbs to work with. The fuel metering is more precise as these carbs had to pass emission tests, at least here in Calif. at the time.

Thanks much guys :-)
I will pass on this one
After I build my 418, will most likely procure a carb from someone here
