New DragWeek slick carrier.

New DragWeek slick carrier for my Galaxie.
When I built the first carrier I was in kind of a hurry and used whatever metal I had laying around. It worked ok but was kind of clunky looking. So I decided to build a new one. It is a lot cleaner and it is 10 lbs lighter.  :)

Looks good, Alan.  But does this mean that the Mustang is out for DW16?

Unfortunately, yes. I could see I wasn't going to get it done in time so I had to make the decision to go ahead with the Galaxie. My shoulders were giving out on me after doing all that hand sanding on the car so I had to take a break from bodywork for a while. Getting old stinks!  >:(
I am going to try a different cam in the Galaxie to see if I can pick up a few tenths and I am putting in a different gas tank that I welded a sump in but that's about all.

Have you thought about the fact that this covers your license plate now? I could see a cop pulling you over because he cannot see it.

Worlds biggest wheelie bars  ;D

Looks good, Alan. I thought about the license plate also. Just mount it on the wheelie bars.

Yeah, I thought about it...a little. I figured it wasn't any different from those cargo carriers people put on the back of their cars and SUVs that cover up their plate. Or any small trailer, like a lot of guys use on DW. After two Drag Weeks and 3000 miles I've had no problems...so far.  8)
