I would advise against using ARP lube on non ARP bolts that get torqued. I just use motor oil on non ARP fasteners. I used ARP lube on stock Ford headbolts on my 351W and 2 of them broke. I believe because the ARP lube reduces friction much more than oil I overstretched the stock bolt using ARP lube and the stock torque specs. Jim

I ran 275/60/15 BFG drag radials on the back of my 66 Comet without any trimming. I did get some rubbing initially, so I put in poly rear spring bushings which stopped the majority of rubbing. The only rubbing I got after that was with 4 people in the car going over speed bumps or such. These tires were mounted on Ford Explorer rims. I am not sure what the offset was but most likely 4 1/2 inches. Your car looks awesome.

Here is a picture of what I am doing on my Comet. I used very short upper arms to give me better clearance for the headers I am going to build. My upper arm is about 7 1/2 inches. This may not be ideal for a road race but should work well on the drag strip. I should end up with 4 1/2 to 5 inches of suspension travel when I am done.

Jay, I am looking in the Art Morrision catalog and it appears you could just add an upper control arm and a coil over shock to your existing lower control arm and use that set up if your strut type suspension proves to be illeagal. Jim
