The Holley Master kit includes a fitting and some tube to make a return.

As Ross has correctly said the factory vent, filler tube and sending unit are all ways that people use to get the return into a factory tank. I have read cautions (I believe it was the Holley forum) about making sure the vent is of sufficient size if you use it.

I have a terminator stealth on the F100 and ended up just dumping the return into a vent hose that runs from the neck to the tank, it works fine. I fully intend at a later date to do an in tank setup using a Mustang tank conversion, but it is totally fine the way it is. Were it me and getting the return hose into the trunk wasn't too big of a deal I would dump it into that vent.

There is a ton of very good information on the Holley forum too, they will help you if you need it and some here can't.

That looks like a really nice system, those weren't out when I did mine, I like that they moved the electronics to the side.

Grinding the lifter bore anything except round and in spec runs contrary to everything I've ever been taught or read about lifter bores..

If I'm understanding what you're saying correctly don't most lifters have a an area (I'll call it a "waist" for lack of a better term) that would accomplish the what your machinist is speaking of though?

Thanks for the reminder...

I may consider that, definitely pricey but I'm going to have to pay someone to weld on the baffles so probably a wash. I could paint them blue I suppose...

The Harland Sharp adjusters work perfectly.

So, as a follow up, I picked up some Scott Drake. I think they may have been a return, because the box was closed in an X pattern by tucking the flaps under and I doubt they came that way. They are reasonably nice but the chrome around the bolt bosses (the recessed area) is not great.

They do have baffles and they resemble what I recall factory PBF covers looking like.

No way they are fitting without modification, 2 blue stripe gaskets won't do it.

As mentioned the area of interference is the corner of the rocker stand or more precisely the additional support between the end two cylinders, Harland Sharp do not appear to have these from pictures i find.

Options I see are cut and weld the baffles (or remove them, which I don't think is a good idea) or take the edge off the support (which I don't think is a good idea.)

Related? AMK bolts for "ALM or STL" are too long too or they would be if the steel covers would fit.

Yeah I wasn’t a fan of the Econoline episode either.

I enjoy most of the older Roadkill episodes and the roadkill garage stuff is usually pretty good too.

The premise of Roadkill Garage is supposed to be things two guys might do in a weekend project so I somewhat get the running out of time... But wouldn’t one of the two guys hit up some forums or facebook groups or something and try to figure out what would be a good choice for parts? maybe not but I would...

The episode was still entertaining but I was like WTF when he pulled out the barely bigger than stock cam. I expected it to be a hack, it is Roadkill after all ... I just expected it to be a slightly more technically sound hack...  ;D

I do like the Disgustang

Got it figured out.

They are 3/16 radius, which = 3/8 diameter ball ...

Quote from: pushrods.net
5/32" Radius = 5/16" Diameter
3/16" Radius = 3/8" Diameter
9/64" Radius = 9/32" Diameter

Maybe I don't understand the question but I just looked up the HS rockers to confirm the ball size and found it to be 3/8".

My original person adjusters failed.

My recollection is that Smith Brothers talked me into upsizing the balls because i was replacing the pushrods too.

So i guess the question is are the original Erson adjusters smaller than 3/8 or are mine larger... (alternately am i remembering wrong and there is no issue at all)

Thanks,

Guess I better get the tools out and measure.

Those do look nice if I can determine the ball size I need.

He noticed the aftermarket double roller, and even commented that the cam may not be stock. I would like to know if the new one was smaller? The performance increase sounds like what just a. 4brl and intake do. If you watch RK,and RKG Friburger Seems to at least acknowledge the FE as a good one. I don’t think he’s called one a boat anchor on video. He just doesn’t have the tribal knowledge most of us here have on FE’s.

Yeah that is true, and he did say he didn’t know anything about 360’s - seems like one of his people could have googled it...  :D T think Comp even owns Crane now, so they could have still gotten the ADV.

I did not the failure to follow up on what was in it...

We all know he killed the whole project by not putting headers on it.

Was thinking same thing...

Latest Roadkill garage on Motortrend on Demand.

(pretty sure you have to pay)

Took a 74(?) long bed 360 truck and “hopped it up”. Talking about PV clearance, coil bind, picked a comp 252 (hardly worth the effort) and people have been shoving Crane 343901, 343941 and 343801 (and similar) in them for a decades...
