A fellow over on the old (new?) FE Forum has a question none of us seem to be able to answer. His new throw out bearing oddly doesn't fit well on his OEM lever.

If you guys can shed any light, I'd be glad to pass it along.

Thx for the help. As I thought as well, the clips may give up the ghost on him over time.

Yeah, I've been on the site as well with zero ads, and no tapatalk crap either.

Bob and Larry , I'm over there too as 161854. Why not switch the new bearing to the old collar? My old "real" auto parts store used to sell me the bearing only and I did the swap. I have 3 NOS TO bearings for my CJ so I haven't had to use an aftermarket version. I think the RAM collar will create a problem.

True, as long as the bearing itself hasn't change.  You know how they do that just to screw with you.

But if the bearing is not hurt, why not put a shot of grease in and run it?
The bearing in the wagon has been run HARD for 24 yrs and still going strong.

Not even 2,400 miles in those 24 years on that throw out bearing Larry! LOL That reminds me of how people used to shy away from "raced" cars . Now they are among the LOWEST mile cars out there!!!! My 53 year old Shelby ( ex Hertz rental) only has 86,442 actual miles.

How did you do that? I've been waiting for administrator approval for weeks!
Now, somehow I'm signed up for tapatalk even though I have zero mobile communication devices.

Can someone help me get signed in there, please?

Thanks.
