Wow! Guess we'll take it as a compliment.
-
Wow, and I thought the FE styled valve covers for small blocks were bad... ::)
-
Think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit....
-
Embarrassed by your LS much? ;D
-
I just got the same feeling I had, the first time I saw a delay box and throttle stop.

Automotive equivalent of a cross dresser

The whole LS swap thing just lacks imagination. It's bad enough that you see so many in the Fox bodies, starting to really hit F100s as well. I guess I don't understand, why go through the trouble, just buy a GM if you want a GM engine.
Anyway, yes, trying to make one look like an FE is beyond stupid. I'm usually a "live and let live" guy, but for some reason this annoys the hell out of me.

How does the fake distributor work? I see some kind of tunnel on the valley cover plate that seems to connect to it. Are the coils hidden in back and the wires run all the way up to it?
If you've watched the show "Bitchin' Rides", Dave Kindig has a fondness for putting fake cammer valve covers on late model Chevrolet engines...

It’s a fake cap with wires......

OK
I am going to dress an FE to look like an LS and take it to those LS events & see if they can figure it out.

X 2...One of the stupidest things ever. Said to make a "modern push rod engine" look like an FE. Heres a thought...Why not just build a FE using modern machining techniques, modern parts and careful assembly and Waaaaa Laaa....A modern 21st century pushrod engine and you've saved the cost of a stupid "dress-up kit" that all it does is putting lipstick on a pig. [With the emphasis on the LS PIG]

I've said it before and I'll say it again...Chebbie guys have no soul.
-
Anyone remember the flathead valve covers for CSB ;D ;D
-
I think it's awesome. Not that I would want one, no less pay $1800 bucks, but it does look good. LS engines got to be the ugliest engines out there. I get the appeal for them, small size, tons of them out there, cheap, very well supported in the after market and they run well, very well.

Uh, yeah.

I guess we now have the LGTBLS community.

So... if they would make a kit for a turbo 400 look like a C6, would it be a tranny tranny?

That's awesome

Or, if you MUST put a chibrolay engine in a Ford; when all is done, take a dump on top of it, and then shut the hood and put a lock on it. It'll smell about right and you'll not have to look at it.

I always tell people that if I go to hell, they'll force me into every public speaking opportunity possible where I talk about my personal accomplishments, and everyone will drive T-buckets with 350 Chevy's in them.
