This was in the parking lot as I was leaving John's place today. Beautiful little 'lane.

Marc, love it!  Thanks for posting.  I wonder if that color combo is original?  I'm thinking the gray was originally black; but it looks like a winner anyway. Gray might be better for those hot So Cal days.

My Dad was a career Ford guy and once had his office at the Pico Rivera, CA plant.  I remember he treated several of us family members to a sneak preview of the 58s in the summer of 57. It was such a thrill!

When I saw the words "beautiful little 'lane", my first thought was Mercury Parklane. Definitely beautiful, but not too little.  Nice looking Fairlane.

Marc, thanks for posting, that is a sharp color combo, looks fresh inside and out.  I'd like to take a moment and also state that either of those background Ford pickups would fit my wish list nicely.  Can ya snag the short mint '73(?) and ship it up here UPS? ;D

I agree with you 100% Len.
The guy that owns it has the business across the parking lot and really isn't aware of what a cool truck that is.
Also right next to that is a Jeep Kaiser that's in pretty darn good shape.
The red '61 is my little daily driver.

Nice 8)-  That's a goal by next summer, hoping to tie into a daily driver pickup to enjoy while keeping miles off my newer 4x4 at the same time.  Takes a lot longer up here, can't kick any tires without taking time off from work and traveling.  The search continues-

Concerning the color combination it is definitely a factory combo.  I was 14 in 1958 and when travelling to my grandmother's house we would pass by a lot that Maher Bros. Ford used to store their inventory. I saw quite a quite a few yellow/grey Fords waiting to be sold to someone.

Thought I'd just add to this thread instead of starting another as it is "another enjoyable".
Working on my mustang today the parking lot looked pretty darn nice.

Unless that '58 started out as a low mileage well kept original, somebody has a LOT of time and money wrapped up in that thing! Lots of really nice looking chrome and interior pieces, which ain't easy to find for '58s. Very nice looking car.

I used to have a ton of parts for those unibody trucks, having had 4 of them at one point. Sold most everything over the years and only have one door and some front grille and interior pieces left, with the door being the only unique unibody piece. Your truck looks really nice. I really wish I had kept my shortbed '63.
